One day Tish came to the land called ENOUGH.

She was very happy to arrive in this land where the language of abundance was spoken. She felt that she had arrived at this magical place at exactly the right time in her life. She let go of all her worries and anxiety about retiring and decided right then and there that she was going to give six months notice to her employer and return to LOE.

She stayed for one month in the land of her dreams, getting to know the people, their culture and language; she loved the natural beauty of the place, the ocean, the rivers and the beautiful plants and wildlife. She walked in the woods; swam; kayaked, did yoga and volunteered to teach and take care of the youth and old people. In the process, she met a tall, wonderful, kind, handsome wise elder, named Klaus; they fell in love. She promised him that she would return. And she did.

On July 1, 2010 in the late afternoon as the sun was setting, she returned and began a new life. People reported that, Tish lived happily ever after in the Land of Enough until the age of 105. She died suddenly on the tennis court while playing doubles with Klaus and friends. They won the match 6-4.

One day Pam came to the land of ENOUGH

One day I came to the land called ENOUGH and decided I had to test it but wasn't sure how to do it. Everyone was so happy. I tried complaining but no one listened. What was the secret?

I realized these people lived in the moment of whatever they were doing. No past and no future.

Living in the present gives no time for regrets or wishes and everything is as it should be.

One day Debbie came to the land called ENOUGH.

She was confused and didn’t feel like she belonged. She felt different, was skeptical. But slowly she relaxed and began to enjoy this new experience of feeling appreciated just as she was and realizing that she didn’t have to compete to have her needs met. Gradually, however, she began to feel sad. She missed the drama of emotions, politics, feeling pressure to work harder to earn more money as well as to gain self-esteem. Over time she started to relax again…..into feeling loved, accepted, clothed, fed, i.e. taken care of in a “good enough” way. She began to feel more secure and connected to the other people in this Land of Enough as well as to a deep part within herself.

One day Rodney came to the land of ENOUGH

... and he realized that something was wrong, something was very wrong. Some people might think this is heaven, but he put it closer to hell. Could people have purpose in their lives without the need to be striving for something. If everyone was happy with things being OK how would we grow as a people? If people had felt enough was OK would the first woman have invented the first basket to carry berries from remote groves? Would the first man have invented the first spear to kill their next high protein meal? Would we be living in caves or houses today? Would we all be naked in Africa instead of New England in the fall? Would we be punching rocks together or listening to music on the web? He decided that he would not like to live in ENOUGH.

The Land of Enough (copyright New Life Institute)

Once upon a time in a far away place, there was a land called ENOUGH, ENOUGH was a land filled with abundance. There was simply 'enough' of everything for everyone. No one went hungry. No one was without a place to sleep. Everyone had clothes to keep them comfortable in whatever season it was at the moment. Everyone enjoyed their work. In fact, they all LOVED their work. They were doing the things that they had always wanted to do and it sure felt good.

In fact, in the land called ENOUGH you didn't have to worry about where anything was coming from next because you sort of knew that everything was going to be OK. It might not be perfect, but it was OK.

Now, when strangers came to the land called ENOUGH they didn't know how to act or what to do. After all, they usually came with the belief that there was no such thing as "enough" much less a place where everyone really lived with ABUNDANCE.
